A tile roof can outlast the house under it — if it's installed right. Clay and concrete tile are heavy, so the structure, battens and underlayment matter as much as the tile you see from the street. We install new tile roofs, replace cracked and slipped tiles, and lift and re-lay existing tile over fresh underlayment when the tile is still good but the layer beneath it has failed. It's careful work, and it's the kind of roofing our crew enjoys most.
